Kyle Eardley - Clarinet, Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet

MORE INFO: Kyle is a highly accomplished musician specialising in Brass and Woodwind. Starting Clarinet at age 8. Picking up the Trumpet, Saxophone, Trombone, Piano, Tuba, (and more) over the next few years he was quickly captivated by the different sounds and colours of music. Majoring in Trumpet, Kyle was accepted into the Sydney Conservatorium of Music for Jazz Perfomance, Kyle has been under the tutelage of some of Australia’s best Jazz performers in Phil Slater, David Theak, Kevin Hunt, and Matt McMahon (just to name a few).

Kyle has toured extensively with the ISER Performing Ensemble and the Wollongong Jazz Orchestra around Australia, Malaysia and the USA, sharing the stage with leading jazz trombonists Fred Wesley and Andy Martin. He has played in the City of Wollongong Brass Band on Cornet, occasionally filling in on other instruments when needed. He has played Trumpet and Trombone in a variety of Shows, highlights including Annie, Cats, Sound of Music, Wizard of Oz. He has been a guest artist in countless Big Bands, Orchestras, and Combos, even leading a Big Band to 2nd place in the Reno Jazz Festival. He is also part of a reggae group ‘Chuparosa’ which tours nationally.

Apart from performing, Kyle has been the Assistant Conductor in the City of Wollongong Junior Brass Band, and an avid Jazz and Orchestral composer, with his HSC composition being nominated for ENCORE.Kyle’s lessons are focused on what the student wants to learn as he believes that a balance between technique, creativity, knowledge, and (most importantly) fun is the key to becoming a great musician.
