Elizabeth, at a young age, has profound experience and talent in a versatile range of musical roles. Having studied piano from the age of 3 and voice from the age of 11, Elizabeth developed a passion for performance and teaching at an early age. The opportunity to perform from the age of 6, has had great impact on her childhood, and is something she shares with both her young and adult students; helping them with confidence, motivation and developing an appreciation for music.

Having studied under the likes of Ludmila Beliavskaia (piano) and Sarah McCallum (voice), Elizabeth?s professional career as a young performer is extensive. Her involvement in award winning performances for various Eisteddfods, running a Glee-club to public performances with Oliver! The Musical, Carols by Candlelight, Sydney Opera House, Channel 7?s Sunrise, Vienna Boys Choir and international tours to Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, France and Austria, has encompassed Elizabeth to excel as performer and teacher.

With professional training in both classical (including AMEB) and contemporary/jazz styles, Elizabeth has the ability to tailor each lesson plan to suit or meet the individual student?s objectives. Her experience and interest across the classical, pop, jazz and music theatre genres, enables children, teenagers and adults the opportunity to learn one or all styles of music. Each lesson is combined with technical training, fundamental music theory, creative play, sight-reading and aural development, which provides a solid foundation for every student wanting to learn music. More than a teacher, Elizabeth is often viewed as an encouraging, patient and understanding mentor who brings out the best in each student and makes learning a fun and enjoyable experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:Completing Bachelor of Music at Sydney Conservatorium of MusicDAYS AVAILABLE: Monday - Friday (afternoon/evenings) and Saturday morningsMORE INFO: Owen was born into a musical family with a conductor and a composer for a father who instilled the values and benefits of music from a very early age. He grew up in a country town where music and music teachers were a rare commodity and there was very little choice when it came to choosing instruments. Owen started playing electric bass when he was 10 and progressed onto classical double bass when he was 12. Due to the shortage of music teachers Owen had to travel to Sydney for a monthly lesson with SSO Principal Bassist Kees Boersma. In 2006 Owen moved to Sydney to continue his studies with Kees at the renown Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Whilst studying at the Conservatorium, Owen taught at a few Sydney schools, and since then has continually taught at several more schools, Music Schools and Music Studios. Even though he had a strong classical background, Owen has always had interests in music from many genres and styles, and as a result this lead him to explore all the fields of guitar playing and technique. Owen has mastered a variety of genres of guitar from Classical, Rock, Blues to Heavy Metal. He has taught people of all ages including children as young as 5 all the way up to adults in their 50's.

Owen is a firm believer in building a strong musical technique and coupled with regular practice will develop a high standard of skill and musicianship. Through working with people of all ages, Owen has learnt that everyone learns and progresses differently and that every student needs an individually tailored lesson program that focuses on all aspects of music including theory, technical repertoire and pieces that are not only challenging but also fun.
