Group Guitar Classes for Kids and Adults

Learn the fundamentals of basic guitar playing, techniques, song playing and more.

Group Guitar 101 Classes are designed for beginner adults and kids. Whether you've dabbled in guitar or never touched the instrument, this course is perfect for adult beginners.

COURSE COST: $279 per person
8 week long hour sessions + materials
* Note that you only have one weekly one-hour group guitar lesson per week

Guitars provided on site, lead by experienced and professional teachers, small intimate groups (max. of 6 people per class).

• Tuning and knowing about the guitar
• Proper techniques (holding, posture, finger exercises, using a plectrum and technical skills)
• How to read and play chords and chord charts
• Strumming the guitar and playing basic rhythmic strumming patterns
• Reading and understanding basic notes and music theory 101
• How to read and play guitar tableture
• Song playing
• Developing strength in the hands and fingers through scales, warm ups and exercises)
• Playing music in a group and much more

Brass Lessons - Learn Sax, Clarinet, Trombone, Trumpet with All Age Music



Have you always wanted to learn to play a brass and woodwind instrument? Do you want your children to discover a passion for music?

All Age Music's brass and woodwind teacher, Kyle Eardley, is available to teach saxophone, clarinet, trombone and trumpet to students of all ages at our studios on Enmore Rd, Marrickville.

Kyle is an accomplished musician, specialising in brass and woodwind instruments. He has trained with the Sydney Conservatorium of Music for Jazz Performance, and has been tutored by some of Australia's best jazz performers. He also has lots of performance experience, including touring internationally with the ISER Performing Ensemble and the Wollongong Jazz Orchestra, performing in shows and with the reggae group "Chuparosa".

When teaching, Kyle focuses on what the student wants to learn, and he believes in a balance between technique, creativity, knowledge and fun.

Our studios are located on Enmore Rd, Marrickville, across the road from Enmore Park.
We are located near Newtown, Camperdown, Erskineville, St Peters, Marrickville, Sydenham, Petersham, Stanmore, and other Inner West suburbs. You can get here easily via public transport, and there is parking near by.

James has been drumming for 12 years, and performing in live bands for 10 years. He works with a diverse array of styles - rock, surf, pop, hip hop and metal. Maitree - Every Story Counts



Looking for 6 talented young musicians for creative health video

Maitree House (maitreehouse.com) is producing a short creative video for a client in
the health sector. We are looking for 6 culturally diverse and talented musicians
aged 13 – 21 years to take part in a music collaboration for a 2-minute video about
young people’s health rights.

To apply for this role you need to have a unique musical skill, an ability to improvise
and enjoy collaborating with other musicians and in different genres. We want
original musicians including beatboxers, poets/rappers / vocalists / brass player /
keyboard player/ guitar players / electronic / experimental etc.

Participants also need to be confident in speaking on camera and happy to engage
in conversation about young people’s health care and share their own thoughts /
experiences on this topic. Part of the creative development process will be to
participate in a simple and fun theatre workshop where we will explore young
people’s views on health care.

The video will be shot in a documentary style and is all about collaboration, play,
experimenting and creating something awesome!

Young people with a disability are encouraged to apply.

To be considered, young people must be available for the following dates:

Audition: Wednesday 4th June
Time: Allocated slots from 4pm – 7pm

No need to prepare anything, just bring your instrument!

Creative Workshop 1: Sun 15th June 10-4pm
Venue: Platform 46, Alexandria
Participants help brainstorm ideas around the theme of healthcare and also
contribute to creative music ideas for the shoot days with local DJ/producer.
(No filming)

Creative workshop 2 / Filming Day: Sun 22nd June: 9-4pm
Venue: Platform 46, Alexandria
Filming Day

All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

All participants will be paid the award rate according to the Media Arts and
Entertainment Alliance (and the equivalent for juveniles under the age of 16).
