All Age Music | Private Music Lessons

All Age Music provides high quality music tuition to students of all ages and all experience levels. Our teachers are qualified and experienced, and are friendly and easy to get along with. We are happy to tailor lessons to your needs - whether you want to have fun, develop your skills, prepare for exams or auditions, and more.

We offer private lessons in a range of instruments, including guitar, drums, brass/woodwind instruments, bass guitar, piano and vocals.

Private lessons are a fantastic way to learn a new instrument, or to improve and develop your skills because they allow you to learn what you want, at your pace, with your learning style.

All Age Music also offer performance experience to our students with our non-compulsory mid-year and end of year performance days. These are a great way to build confidence and showcase what you have been working on to a receptive audience!

Over 8 exciting weeks you’ll work with one of our experienced professional band coaches and transform yourselves into the ultimate ‘Garage Band’. Then at the end you'll be playing one of Sydney's live music Open Mic nights to showcase your set!

Discover how to play in a band
Develop and practice a set list of songs
Learn from professional industry musician / music directors
Invite your friends and let them watch you perform

Drummers, Bass Guitarists, Singers, Keys/Piano, Guitarists, Saxophone, Backing Vocalists and others all welcome to join

COST PER TERM
$330 per person (for 8 week term)

Each weekly session runs for an hour and a half block. Instruments and amps will be provided for, however you will need to bring your own bass guitars, electric/acoustic guitars, sax, trumpet, drum sticks etc.

It’s ideal for you to attend the first class so you can meet your fellow band mates, be given music and discuss any other songs you may like to contribute. The date will be provided to you once you enrol.

You’ll be expected to turn up to all band sessions to ensure you learn and develop your parts. If there any dates or times you think you can’t make then you’ll have the opportunity to discuss with your band mates alternative times and days (depends on the availability of the band coach).

Corrine Parker - Vocal Substitute Teacher

Corinne ParkerCorrine Parker  is a  basic piano and mainly vocals teacher. She is currently enrolled at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music for Advanced Diploma of Opera. She earned her Diploma of Music – Classical Voice in the year 2012  from the same institution and Bachelor of Music – Classical Voice in the year 2009 from the Australian Institute of Music. Corrine had also played Operatic Roles throughout the year and is still on the list of those to perform in the upcoming operatic shows. She is currently the substitute teacher of Jessica Westcott.

He returns to perform his quintessentially Brazilian orchestral suite with the Adelaide Art Orchestra, conducted by Brett Kelly.

2012 Competition winner returns home
Winner of the 2012 Adelaide International Guitar Competition, Andrey Lebedev returns from London’s Royal Academy of Music for a special recital performance. In the second half of the concert, the Sydney Guitar Trio, joins forces with actor and musician Rory O’Donoghue in an entertaining performance of storytelling and music.

Maitree - Every Story Counts



Looking for 6 talented young musicians for creative health video

Maitree House (maitreehouse.com) is producing a short creative video for a client in
the health sector. We are looking for 6 culturally diverse and talented musicians
aged 13 – 21 years to take part in a music collaboration for a 2-minute video about
young people’s health rights.

To apply for this role you need to have a unique musical skill, an ability to improvise
and enjoy collaborating with other musicians and in different genres. We want
original musicians including beatboxers, poets/rappers / vocalists / brass player /
keyboard player/ guitar players / electronic / experimental etc.

Participants also need to be confident in speaking on camera and happy to engage
in conversation about young people’s health care and share their own thoughts /
experiences on this topic. Part of the creative development process will be to
participate in a simple and fun theatre workshop where we will explore young
people’s views on health care.

The video will be shot in a documentary style and is all about collaboration, play,
experimenting and creating something awesome!

Young people with a disability are encouraged to apply.

To be considered, young people must be available for the following dates:

Audition: Wednesday 4th June
Time: Allocated slots from 4pm – 7pm
Venue: St Stephen’s Anglican Church, Newtown

No need to prepare anything, just bring your instrument!

Creative Workshop 1: Sun 15th June 10-4pm
Venue: Platform 46, Alexandria
Participants help brainstorm ideas around the theme of healthcare and also
contribute to creative music ideas for the shoot days with local DJ/producer.

Creative workshop 2 / Filming Day: Sun 22nd June: 9-4pm

All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

All participants will be paid the award rate according to the Media Arts and
Entertainment Alliance (and the equivalent for juveniles under the age of 16).

ADELAIDE INTERNATIONAL GUITAR FESTIVAL

OPENING NIGHT NOT TO BE MISSED The Festival’s Opening Night will be a Spanish extravaganza, starring the José Antonio Rodríguez Trio, direct from flamenco heartland and opened by one of SA’s favorite flamenco companies, Flamenco Areti.

Come Sunday, 80 young guitarists will take the Festival Theatre stage for the debut of the Adelaide Guitar Festival Orchestra, as they open the concert for internationally acclaimed gypsy jazz superstars the Stochelo Rosenberg Trio.

One of our finest musical exports the Australian String Quartet will be joined on the Festival Theatre stage by three very special guests.
