What are the focus activities?
- Musical games and improvisation
- Singing songs, rhymes and solfa/solfege
- Movement, dance and gesture
- Rhythm, beat and metre
- Percussion playing
- Listening, reflecting and responding
- Story-telling and mime
- Reading (iconic and traditional)
- Keyboard Games (Level 3)
- Ensemble Playing
- Coordinating with streamers, rainbow ring and parachute
Where are the classes held?
All Age Music School HQ Studios - 2B, 391 Enmore Rd, Marrickville (opposite Enmore Park). Plenty of unlimited free street parking during the day and close to buses.
When are the classes held?
Every Tuesday morning 9:45am - 10:30am (2 - 3 yr olds)
Every Tuesday morning 10:30am - 11:15am (3 - 4yr olds) - starting beginning September
Every Friday morning 10:00am - 10:45am (3 - 4yr olds) - starting end of August
Duration of Class and Course
Each class goes for 45 minutes with each level offering an accompanying CD/book and Kinder mascot toy. The overall course duration is 6 - 9 months per book/level. Enrolment is done by the school term (approx. 10 weeks)
When can my child start?
Ideally it would be great to start classes when we start the course, however the course is designed so that you can start anytime in the first few weeks.
What is the cost?
Cost per 10 week term is $200 (includes 10 weekly x 45 minute classes) plus a one off $30 for music book, CD and Kinder Mascot toy) at each level. This isn't just music appreciation, it's a whole lot more.
Who will be teaching the classes?
Our trained Kinder Beat teacher Susie Hurley will run the classes weekly.
